
Oscar Villafane OD
Dr. Oscar Villafane attended Florida State University from 2002 to 2006 where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Science with a minor in Chemistry and Psychology. He was then accepted into the College of Optometry at Nova Southeastern University where he received the degree Doctor of Optometry in 2011.
Immediately after graduation, Dr. Villafane moved to Houston to complete his residency in Family Practice at the University of Houston’s College of Optometry.
Dr. Villafane is licensed as a Therapeutic Optometrist and an Optometric Glaucoma Specialist. He is a member of the American Academy of Optometry, American Optometric Association, and Harris County Optometric Society.
Dr. Villafane has participated in many volunteer programs including Houston’s See to Succeed program designed to provide full eye exams to school-aged children, the Special Olympics to provide vision screenings for Olympic athletes, and SVOSH to provide eye care to underserved populations in Peru, Ecuador, and Guatemala.
